Aims of the Project
- To strengthen the connections within the cluster of Windermere Schools.
- To use information and communication technologies to connect the children and teachers together within the wider community.
- To create connecting communities to foster international links and networks and becoming part of a wider community.
The scope of our project is to connect groups of children from across the five schools and to enable them to work collaboratively on a range of self chosen project work. The methods will include communication and collaboration through Email, Video Conferencing and the use of J2e. The process will be to work initially with a selected group of Gifted and Talented pupils who will then share the skills and processes with their peers.
Description of the Project
We are going to develop a collaborative enterprise involving able pupils from the named schools. The product will be a website that provides information to parents on places to go with children in the Lake District. The website will be supported by paper based advertising material and eventually a hard copy guide for sale in local shops and businesses. We will be working with a range of local business partners. The pupils will be divided into working groups, each spread across the schools and they will use information technology to communicate with one another.
